FEA encourage and enable funding of enlightened agricultural projects by a variety of means. By “enlightened” we mean those projects that have the potential to increase agricultural output, adopt sustainable farming methods, create local supply chains, increase employment and engagement, revive local economies and bring other social benefits.
Our programmes are focussed on helping projects at two stages of development:
- Early stage funding, required to pilot and prove an idea with wide potential;
- Where investment is needed and/or funds to support a significant scaling up or replication of the project.
Below are some of our projects:
In addition the FEA network includes trusts, foundations and ethical investment advisers as well as social lenders.
We are also constantly investigating new funding methods, such as investor clubs, as well as working to ensure grant funding from UK and European sources is directed towards the food/farming sector.
